It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anne, surrounded by her family on June 12, 2019 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her husband Paul (1974). Beloved mother to Steve (Sue), Bob, Donna (André), and Mark (Irene). Cherished Oma to Paul, Erin, Laura, Ryan, and Kathryn. Predeceased by her sister Rosie Vertatschitsch, and brothers Edward (Raesal), Eric (Maria), Peppi (Emma), Robert, and Frank. Survived by her sisters-in-law Gisela and Terri Vert. Anne worked as a health care aid at Wentworth Lodge and Christopher Court. She will always be remembered for her charitable acts of kindness, as well as visiting many relatives and friends in retirement and nursing homes. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (1919 King St. E., between Rosedale and Cochrane) on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Parish (Barton and Nash) on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (Burlington, ON). If desired, donations to the Canadian Red Cross would be greatly appreciated.
