Oh Uncle Jody ~ I don’t even know where to start... What moves through us is a silence, a sadness, a longing for one more day, word, touch, but little by little we begin to remember not that you are gone but that you lived! And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget!
Life definitely threw you your fair share of curve balls, but you always came out swinging. I don’t know anyone tougher than you, with a heart of gold. I always knew that our family get togethers would bring laughs & a good time if you were there! I’m going to miss your hugs, your infectious smile & laughter & the way you always cared about & cheered us on with whatever was going on in our lives. I feel blessed to have so many amazing memories with you ~ as your favourite niece & goddaughter 😉 ~ I will cherish them always & let them live on. I hope you knew how much I adored you.
I’m sad you didn’t get to meet Jack, but he’ll hear all about you. I hope with you watching over him as he grows, that he’ll have the strength, courage & heart to tackle anything life throws at him, the way you did.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words & missed beyond measure. I’ll hold you close within my heart & there you will remain.. to walk with me throughout my life, until we meet again.
I love & miss you Uncle Jody. Hope you’re living your best after-life. Give hugs to Nana & Papa xo
