Obituary for Joseph Francis Mensink
Quietly in his 98th year, Joseph has gone to join the Heavenly Father. He is predeceased by his loving wife Antonia and will be deeply missed by his children Mary (Rick), Frank (Nancy), Nicolaas (Anita), Georges (Muriel), Veronica (Gerald) and his dear friend Marilyn. Joseph will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jennifer and Cathy; Michael and Andrew; Julia and Vanessa; Matthew, Thomas, Andrea and Nicholas; 8 great-grandchildren and his many friends from the bridge tables.
Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 1919 King Street on Thursday May 30 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Parish on Friday May 31st at 11am and a reception will be held at 12pm at the Polish Royal Canadian Legion. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to one of Joseph’s favourite charities, either Scarboro Foreign Missions or Doctors without Borders, would be appreciated.
